“A timeless and heady mix of traditions,The Wilderness Yet is an outstanding collection from three musicians at the top of their game.” – Folk Radio UK

The Wilderness Yet combines the acclaimed talents of folk singer Rosie Hodgson, traditional fiddler Rowan Piggott, and guitarist-flautist Philippe Barnes. Independently, they have earned audiences’ esteem as consummate musicians; together, they weave an eclectic tapestry of traditional and original songs and tunes, from a cappella three-part harmonies to luscious instrumental arrangements.

The trio takes inspiration from nature and the world around us. Their latest studio album, What Holds The World Together, was released in summer 2022 and has since been played on BBC Radio 2, 3 and 6, as well as entering the Official Folk Albums Chart. The band also played live in session on BBC Radio 3 on Christmas Day, and they featured in an episode of the renowned podcast Folk on Foot.

The band has close links to the Irish traditional music scene – Rosie and Philippe were members of the London-Irish band Crossharbour, while Rowan grew up on the west coast of Ireland, surrounded by traditional music. We’re delighted to be welcoming them to The Water Rats to play for us this St Patrick’s Day.
