British Music Hall Society: Frank Lynne and some “Trifling Occurrences.” a talk by Peter Charlton

Details
Date : 22 April
Time : 19:00
Website : Facebook Event
Tickets : Ticket Link

This is a talk presented by Peter Charlton, accompanied by Laurence Payne.

What made Peter bring into the Limelight a performer that probably no-one has heard of? Well, he liked one of his songs so much he just had to learn more about him – he hopes you’ll like the songs and Frank Lynne!

About Peter Charlton
Peter was born at an early age and spent most of his early years as a child. He trained as an actor at the Northern Theatre School, Bradford, a brave move for a Lancastrian! His professional debut was in 1954 in “The Housemaster” at the Grand Theatre Lancaster, alongside Frank Finlay and David Pugh – really should have kept in touch!
Since then Peter has worked constantly in one branch of show business or another (apart from a couple of years doing National Service) as an actor, puppeteer and television director. He is proud to be Historian of the BMHS and was a founder member of the Study group (or Limelight as it was re-named). Over the years he has made more than 20 presentations for the group largely about performers, including Harry Champion, George Robey, Minnie Cunningham, Fred Coyne and Arthur Lloyd.
